After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Palitana, one of the holiest pilgrimage destinations for the Jain community. Located atop Shatrunjaya Hills, Palitana is renowned for its extraordinary cluster of 863 intricately carved Jain temples built over nearly 900 years. Pilgrims climb thousands of stone steps to reach the sacred hilltop temples offering breathtaking views and spiritual serenity.

The temples are famous for their detailed marble craftsmanship, ornate domes, and sacred atmosphere. The climb takes approximately two hours each way, making it a rewarding spiritual and cultural experience. Palitana is considered one of the world’s most important Jain pilgrimage sites and attracts devotees and travellers from across the globe. Return drive to Bhavnagar.

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day exploration of the Champaner-Pavagadh Archaeological Park, a UNESCO-listed heritage site showcasing medieval Gujarat’s architectural brilliance. Visit the ancient Champaner Fort located at the foothills of Pavagadh Hill, once ruled by the Khichi Chauhan Rajputs before being captured by Sultan Mahmud Begada. The site is dotted with ancient mosques, gateways, temples, pavilions, palaces, and stepwells reflecting a rich blend of Hindu and Islamic architecture.

Explore the magnificent Jama Masjid, considered one of the finest examples of Indo-Islamic architecture in India. After breakfast, drive towards Aurangabad, famously known as the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Ajanta and Ellora Caves. En route, visit the world-renowned Ajanta Caves (closed on Mondays), one of India’s greatest Buddhist archaeological treasures.

Dating back to the 2nd century BC, the Ajanta Caves consist of 29 rock-cut monasteries and prayer halls beautifully carved into a horseshoe-shaped cliff. The caves are famous for their ancient murals, sculptures, and paintings depicting the life and teachings of Lord Buddha.
